Reliance Jio, India’s largest telecommunications operator, is a family-owned brand that offers low-cost and affordable plans to its customers. From free access to Hotstar and other video streaming services, Jio has a lot to offer and often brings some cool and useful features to its users.
Jio from Mukesh Ambani has come up with a new facility of âEmergency Data Lending Planâ that helps users who are exhausting their high-speed data allowance and are not able to instantly recharge. With the help of this new option, users can top up the data pack now and pay later. The new service helps users enjoy a hassle-free high-speed data plan without worrying about paying for it right away.
Steps to take advantage of Jio’s emergency data loan recharge function:
If you run out of your high-speed data pack and cannot top it up quickly, you can opt for the âEmergency Data Loanâ top-up feature. Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Go to the ‘MyJio’ application, then to the ‘Menu’ option in the upper left corner of the screen.
2nd step: There you will find the âEmergency Data Loanâ tab under the Mobile Services option.
Step 3: Under this tab, click on the âContinueâ option and select âGet Emergency Dataâ.
Step 4: Once you click âActivate Nowâ, the âEmergency Data Loanâ feature will be activated on your phone instantly.
Here is how you can repay the Jio Emergency Data Loan:
You can repay the emergency data loan using the MyJio app.
Step 1: Open the MyJio app and navigate to the âMenuâ option. Now select âEmergency Data Loanâ under the mobile services option.
2nd step: Now click “Continue” in the Emergency Data Loan banner.
Step 3: You have to pay for the âEmergency Data Loanâ option. The total loan amount for payment will be reflected on the screen.
Step 4: You can repay the emergency data loan by choosing any online payment method.
It should be noted that the data loan can be reused and that the counter of the new service resets to 5 automatically.
Five emergency data packs can be borrowed:
With the help of Jio’s Emergency Data Loan feature, prepaid users can now borrow up to five 1GB emergency data packs, each priced at Rs 11 per pack. The maximum loan amount is Rs 55 or 5 packs and users can enjoy seamless internet connectivity. This service is available on all Jio prepaid smartphones.
Main features of the ‘Top up now, pay later’ option:
-The high-speed internet data offered by the ‘Top up now, pay later’ option can be used for all services, including OTT applications.
-No additional fees would be required to enjoy the installation. You only have to pay according to the emergency data packs you have used.
-You can start enjoying high internet connectivity as soon as you select the Top up now, pay later option.
-If you have opted for this option and have not used it, the validity of your basic plan and your emergency data allowance will expire.
